Marfa Stance is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our flagship Madison Avenue location in New York. You will support the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandise execution, and staff leadership to ensure a premium shopping experience aligned with the Marfa Stance brand.

The role emphasizes customer engagement, product knowledge, and operational excellence, including sales achievement, loss prevention, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing excellence with a focus on long-term relationships.
• Passion for product styling and fashion retail.
• Clear communication with customers, teams, and management.
• Experience in store management or retail leadership.
• Background in fashion or specialty retail is preferred.
• On-site availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and basic analytics.
• Familiarity with POS systems; Shopify is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers on the sales floor with product knowledge and styling guidance.
• Support Store Manager with opening/closing, inventory, and loss-prevention.
• Lead and motivate staff, manage schedules, and assist training.
• Drive sales targets while delivering a premium customer experience.
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standard, and POS operations.
