Job summary

Meridian Restaurant and Bar at Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa is seeking an Assistant Floor Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team and uphold our refined dining experience. You will oversee service, collaborate with the restaurant manager, and ensure smooth bar operations while maintaining a professional image.

Housing assistance may be available. This role demands flexibility for peak dinner hours, weekends, and holidays in a luxury Oregon setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manager experience in a full-service luxury restaurant/hotel environment preferred.
• State certified food handler and/or Serve Safe certification.
• Demonstrated experience in staff management and food control.
• Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; handle multiple duties under pressure.
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service to ensure servers and FOH team have knowledge of the menu, products, and purveyors and execute presentation vision.
• Curate and deliver the highest level of service through a well-trained and managed service team.
• Be available at peak dinner times for guest and team inquiries.
• Collaborate with Meridian Restaurant Manager to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Assist in overseeing the bar operation.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Assist with the execution of special events and banquet service.
• Lead the FOH team to deliver on the brand promise.
• Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and fun.
