Job summary

Meridian Assistant Floor Restaurant Manager at Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa leads the front-of-house team to deliver a refined dining experience in a luxury Oregon setting. You will ensure staff knowledge of the menu, coordinate with the Meridian Restaurant Manager, and uphold our brand promise during peak dining hours.

This role requires 2+ years in luxury restaurant-hotel management, Serve Safe or state food-handler certification, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manager experience in a full-service luxury restaurant-hotel environment.
• State certified food Handlers and/or Serve Safe certified.
• Demonstrated experience and capability in staff management and food cost control.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Work flexible hours as required including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing service to ensure that servers and FOH team members have adequate knowledge of the menu, products, and purveyors and properly execute the presentation vision.
• Curating and delivering the highest level of service through a well-trained and managed service team.
• Be available at peak dinner times for guest and team member inquiries.
• Collaborate with the Meridian Restaurant Manager and other stakeholders to create and deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Assist in overseeing the bar operation.
• Lead the restaurant FOH team to deliver on our brand promise.
• Champion culture for the Meridian team, fostering accountability, learning, and fun.
• Oversee successful execution of special events and banquet service.
