Job summary

Appellation Healdsburg seeks an experienced Hotel Assistant Manager to lead front of house operations, shaping arrival and departure experiences, and delivering exceptional service. You will supervise the front desk, concierge, bell, and valet teams, uphold luxury standards, and drive guest satisfaction.

You will develop staff, monitor labor, and collaborate with IT and sales to optimize occupancy and guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence and privacy protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Experience as Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Supervisor in a high‑volume, upscale hotel.
• Daily on‑premises presence required.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• CPR certification and sexual harassment training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead front office operations and guest services to ensure luxury service standards.
• Oversee reservations, check‑in/check‑out, guest services, and coordination with housekeeping for room readiness.
• Recruit, train, and coach front office staff; manage staff schedules and performance evaluations.
• Monitor labor, pricing strategies, and upselling opportunities while maintaining accuracy in billing and guest charges.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure smooth property management system operations.
