Langham Chicago is seeking a service assistant to support servers, keep stations stocked, and maintain luxury standards throughout shifts.

You will deliver coffee, water, beverages, and breads, set and clear tables, inspect service ware, and assist colleagues across the outlet team.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of restaurant bussing experience, IL Sanitation, TIPS, and BASSET licenses, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Two years of restaurant bussing experience.
• IL Sanitation License, TIPS and BASSET licenses required.
• Luxury hotel experience preferred.
• High School diploma preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain station stock and clean during shift.
• Polish and inspect all restaurant service ware, linen, china, and condiments are accessible to servers within luxury standards.
• Provide coffee, water, beverages and breads to guest/clients throughout their meal as required by guest.
• Ensure proper set-up of all tables in assigned section and the clearing of tables and transport dirty tableware to stewarding.
• Deliver food to tables and clearly explain the composition of each dish in detail while communicating effectively.
• Assist other colleagues throughout the outlet team including servers, bartenders, and kitchen colleagues.
• Provide knowledge of the hotel, facilities and local city attractions to respond to guest inquiries.
• Must adhere to liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests in a gracious manner and positive demeanor.
