Job summary

The Langham Chicago is seeking a part-time server to provide friendly, courteous service in our Pavilion Restaurant and other F&B outlets. You will support service colleagues and ensure high standards of hospitality in line with Forbes and Langham guidelines.

Responsibilities include setting tables, serving meals and beverages, assisting bartenders, and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the shift. High school diploma preferred and prior F&B experience required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverages preparation.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to handle glassware and utensils.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests and staff.
• Ability to memorize and promote menu items.
• Ability to stand and work for long periods.
• Operate beverage equipment (coffee maker, iced tea machine).

Responsibilities

• Set up tables in assigned sections with attention to detail.
• Inspect linen, silverware, and dishware for cleanliness and appearance.
• Serve food, coffee, water and other beverages to guests.
• Cooperate with outlet team (servers, porters, kitchen).
• Deliver food to tables and describe dishes clearly.
• Assist bartenders with bar setup and replenishment.
• Clear and reset tables as needed.
• Maintain health and safety procedures.
