Job summary

Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA seeks an experienced Training & Development Manager to design and manage onboarding and ongoing staff training. You will partner with department leaders to align programs with business goals, brand standards, and service culture.

Responsibilities include facilitating sessions, maintaining training logs, and updating materials and SOPs. Strong facilitation, English fluency, and executive presence are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/OD/Education/Hospitality preferred.
• 3–5 years in training, learning & development, or talent development; hospitality preferred.
• Experience designing and facilitating engaging training for diverse audiences.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence with executive presence across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage onboarding and ongoing training for all team members.
• Partner with leaders to align programs with business goals, brand standards, and service culture.
• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, audits, and leadership development in-person and virtual.
• Maintain training logs, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.
• Design and update training materials, manuals, SOPs for consistency.
• Coach trainers and leaders in effective delivery techniques.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and report results.
• Support service culture initiatives and employee engagement through training.
