Job summary

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is looking for a Mid-Level Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The role involves maintaining guest rooms and public areas, assisting engineers, and handling preventive maintenance to ensure a luxurious guest experience.

Responsibilities include operating and troubleshooting building systems, logging daily activities, and coordinating with management on daily tasks. Candidates should be able to work AM/PM/overnight shifts as required.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, minor carpentry, lighting and computer skills.
Maintain professional appearance, attitude and performance.
Prior building maintenance experience and/or relevant technical training.
Must be familiar with OSHA Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas.
Receive direction for house calls via radio.
Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs.
Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
Understand and work with systems such as the telephone switch, guest and employee networks, and building automation.
Fill out Daily Work requests in the Synergy system.
Perform preventive maintenance on laundry and kitchen equipment.
Maintain daily shift logs and stock items.
Understand Omni fire alarm procedures and hotel rules.
Perform preventive maintenance on assigned guest rooms.
Work as a team to keep back of house areas safe and functional.
Receive direction from engineering management on daily assignments.
Interact with guests politely and address maintenance requests.
