Job summary

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, located in the Texas Hill Country near Austin, seeks an Engineer - Class 1 to maintain a safe, efficient hotel environment and respond to guest room maintenance requests. Qualifications

• Minimum two years of hospitality maintenance experience preferred
• Excellent guest service skills and ability to interact with diverse clientele
• Must have excellent English communication skills
• Able to move, lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work on multiple building trades

Responsibilities

• Responds to guest room repair requests
• Repairs plumbing problems including unclogging drains, repairing toilets, and fixtures
• Perform preventive maintenance on laundry and kitchen equipment; cleaning and lubrication
• Maintain daily shift logs of operation, maintenance, pool, spa, and safety activities
• Maintain stock items; order tools and equipment for HVAC supplies as needed
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team
• Assist in emergency situations as central hotel communications point
• Respond to alarms and safety issues per Emergency Response procedures
• Follow company policies; maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of information
• Ensure adherence to work schedules, paid time-off, and vacation procedures
• Improve guest service using Omni Service Tradition and Power of One principles
• Maintain refrigerant logs; schedule and complete equipment PMs
• Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs of hotel property and equipment
