Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Class I Maintenance Engineer to maintain the resort's appearance, comfort, safety, and functionality. This hands-on role covers painting, repairs, and preventive work across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

You'll work with experienced engineers, assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, and help ensure high standards while developing skills across trades in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, painting, construction, facilities, or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance practices and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Experience with interior and exterior painting, drywall patching, caulking, and touch-up work a plus.
• Willingness to learn multiple trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering clean, professional workmanship.
• Guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills are important.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently or in a team.
• Dependable, professional, and eager to learn with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance and general repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests with courteous, professional service.
• Perform repairs across plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting tasks as directed.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities to identify needs and deficiencies.
• Operate tools safely and update work orders in the resort's system.
• Assist with room renovations and property improvement projects as assigned.
