Job summary

Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort seeks a Class I Maintenance Engineer to maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You will perform preventive maintenance, general repairs, painting, and routine inspections while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on skills, a willingness to learn multiple trades, and a strong guest-service mindset. Evening shift supports resort operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, painting, construction, facilities, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, professional-quality work.
• Willingness to learn multiple trades including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned preventive maintenance and general repair tasks throughout guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and resort facilities.
• Respond to guest and departmental maintenance requests with courteous, professional service.
• Perform painting tasks: surface prep, caulking, priming, painting, and touch-ups to maintain appearance standards.
• Assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other technical repairs as directed.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and report deficiencies.
