Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in San Diego, CA to maintain the physical aspects of our properties, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality across buildings, grounds, and amenities.

The role requires 2+ years of property maintenance, strong repair skills in plumbing, electrical, appliances, and the ability to manage high-volume work orders, make-readies, and keep accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property maintenance experience; Class A or luxury experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.
• Experience with building mechanical systems, including boilers, pumps, water heaters, and circulation systems.
• Experience completing apartment turns/make-readies and managing a high-volume work-order environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Executes make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins.
• Manages materials, inventory, and re-orders for maintenance tasks.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing where feasible.
