Job summary

The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, seeks an overnight Front Desk Associate to deliver gracious service and seamless check-in for our premier luxury property.

You will balance nightly revenue, coordinate with housekeeping, handle guest inquiries, and uphold safety and security standards. This part-time, hourly role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities within a historic Milwaukee landmark.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Thorough understanding of basic math and accounting procedures.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and use sound judgment while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Previous hospitality, customer service, or accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring a smooth overnight check-in experience.
• Perform guest transactions, answer telephone inquiries, process reservations, and provide courteous service throughout the night.
• Balance and reconcile daily revenue from rooms, spa, restaurants, and bars.
• Back up computer systems, reindex data files, and ensure all records are accurate and secure.
• Deposit all credit card transactions and process no-shows, charges, and cancellations.
• Maintain accurate cash control, balancing drawers and ensuring deposits are made according to policy.
• Monitor safety, security, and cleanliness of the front desk and lobby areas overnight.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and resolve any issues.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Complete required shift reports and checklists.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Front Office and Accounting teams.
