Job summary

Kairoi is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair systems across our multifamily community. You will respond to resident requests, assist in preparing vacant units, and perform a range of repairs including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, while upholding high standards of customer service.

The role requires 2–3 years of maintenance experience, OSHA knowledge, EPA/HVAC certifications or willingness to obtain them, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of apartment maintenance experience (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• EPA and HVAC certifications, or willingness to obtain them
• OSHA safety rules knowledge
• Excellent customer service focus
• Willingness to be on-call for emergencies
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to follow instructions and maintenance procedures
• Good physical stamina for bending, lifting, standing
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean record in last 12 months

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry issues
• Perform repairs and replacements to resolve issues efficiently
• Communicate progress and ETA to residents during service
• Assist in make-ready for vacant apartments to welcome new residents
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities in top condition
• Conduct routine property inspections for safety and maintenance
• Organize and inventory maintenance equipment and supplies
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations
