Job summary

The Dunlin, Auberge Collection on Johns Island invites an experienced Expeditor to join our luxury dining team. You will ensure swift, precise delivery of hot and cold dishes from kitchen to tables, coordinating with front- and back-of-house to uphold exceptional guest experiences.

Candidates should have prior customer-service experience in a luxury setting and be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or a similar role, in a luxury setting, is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure communication in the kitchen between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams by calling out orders, checking the status of dishes, and calling the waitstaff to serve completed dishes.
• Ensure that all orders are completed accurately, in time, and with the correct priority.
• Perform the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.
• Assisting servers, bartenders, and guests in the dining experience, taking orders, and delivering requested items in an efficient and timely manner
• Relate with guests about needs, satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings
• Ensure that the expediting area and restaurant outlets are tidy, organized, and well-stocked at all times
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g,. proper temperature)
• Check in with guests upon delivery of dishes and ensure they have everything they need, as needed
