Job summary

Ethan Allen is seeking two Interior Design and Sales Professionals for the Setauket Design Center to combine interior design expertise with client-focused selling. Role emphasizes design solutions, relationship-building, and leveraging Ethan Allen’s tools and white-glove services within the Suffolk County market.

The candidate will engage with walk-in clients, referrals, and self-generated leads, building a thriving design practice while supporting a premium brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1 year interior design experience required.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and sales techniques.
• Experience with online sales and design tools.
• Strong listening and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficiency with 3-D planning tools and AR/VR visualization.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions that fit customer budget and preferences.
• Sell Ethan Allen products and services.
• Greet customers, obtain appointments, and conduct in-home consultations.
• Use grassroots marketing and social media to grow the business.
• Educate customers on Ethan Allen’s design services and options.
• Stay current on design and color trends.
• Coordinate with team for pre- and post-sale service.
• Participate in corporate marketing and training programs.
• Educate customers on finance options offered by Ethan Allen.
• Contribute to design center portfolio and ongoing upkeep.
• Enter orders using the retail POS system.
• Collaborate to develop business and grass roots marketing plans.
• Utilize 3-D Room Planner, CRM, Live Chat, etc., to build project volume.
• Leverage social media to heighten Ethan Allen’s presence.
• Perform any other duties as required.
