Job summary

The Boston Harbor Hotel is seeking an Executive Steward to safeguard hotel assets and ensure adequate back‑of‑house supplies. The role reports to the Executive Chef and is exempt from overtime.

The incumbent will lead a team to maintain clean, orderly areas and oversee equipment integrity across F&B operations. Two or more years of strong supervisory or management experience in a luxury hotel environment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Require good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to lift up to 15lbs+ on a regular and continuous basis.

Responsibilities

• Protect hotel investment by inventorying equipment and planning annual purchases.
• Forecast labor and schedule to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate banquet timing and transport of food to meet manager needs.
• Maintain an efficient, organized back‑of‑house that shows pride in the environment.
• Complete banquet equipment requisitions accurately and timely.
• Develop an organized inventory system and execute it.
• Provide expense forecasts for cleaning supplies, labor, and equipment.
• Escort health inspector on inspections and maintain high sanitation scores.
• Manage payroll, personnel records, and related admin duties.
• Train and motivate staff across all levels.
• Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and care of equipment and service ware.
• Implement development plans for assistants, supervisors, and line staff.
• Ensure cafeteria operations run smoothly and reflect guest‑centered service.
