Job summary

L’Ermitage Beverly Hills is seeking a dedicated Steward to maintain pristine kitchen and back-of-house areas in a Five‑Star hotel environment. You will wash, sanitize, and store dishes, assist with light prep, and keep equipment and work areas spotless, while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Reporting to Culinary Management, you will support daily operations, manage waste, assist with inventory, and participate in deep cleaning tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• California Food Handlers Certification required.
• Successful completion of satisfactory background check.
• Available and willing to work flexible hours based on business needs including weekdays and weekends.
• Expresses sincere enthusiasm for the role.
• Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion. Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, flatware, silverware, glasses, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Clean and maintain all equipment and dish machine.
• Take all trash to designated area; empty and replace bags; recycle where applicable.
• Restock linens and organize deliveries using FIFO.
• Close duties: shut down equipment, drain dishmachine, secure area.
• Attend meetings and training; comply with safety and sanitation guidelines.
