Job summary

Conrad Nashville is seeking a friendly and professional Food Server to deliver an exceptional dining experience in our luxury hotel. You will greet guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

As part of our Food & Beverage team, you will rotate through venues as needed, uphold all service standards, and help ensure guest satisfaction, safety, and compliance with licensing and safety rules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility of similar caliber.
• Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write & speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome upon seating.
• Guide guest through all phases of their experience at the restaurant.
• Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by management.
• Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.
• Maintain table cleanliness utilizing silent table approach.
• Itemized bills correctly and efficiently secure payment.
• Ensure table side food service and quality presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned sections, side stations, tables and POS stations.
• Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
• Review identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
• Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return.
• Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques of all menu items; food, non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.
• Deliver food & beverages, including alcoholic options to guests.
• Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues.
• Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
• Work as a team, assisting all guests’ needs and inquiries.
• Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values as well as property and department standards are implemented and applied.
• Bid farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known and encourage them to return.
• Other duties as assigned
