Job summary

Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Collection in Washington, CT seeks an Engineer to lead technical operations across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Responsibilities include responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and using the Alice system to manage tickets.

You'll troubleshoot a range of equipment, assist with CAPEX projects, and help keep public areas and guest spaces in top condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a hotel/property technician or engineer preferred.
• Experience with power tools use and safety.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions on mechanical equipment, furniture and warning labels.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Communicate daily issues to other shifts using approved programs.
• Demonstrate safe use of hand and power tools for repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment incl. pumps, motors, plumbing, and electrical items.
• Assist with painting and drywall repair and light carpentry.
• Use the Alice system to manage maintenance tickets.
• Perform entry to mid-level MEP troubleshooting.
• Aid hotel operations, CAPEX projects, and other tasks as needed.
• Move furniture to support maintenance needs.
• Maintain and light fire pits daily.
• Use hotel devices during work hours.
