Job summary

The Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia, is seeking a hands-on Engineering Supervisor to lead daily maintenance across multiple buildings. You will supervise technicians, manage work orders, and coordinate preventive maintenance while supporting the Director and Assistant Director in technical tasks.

We value strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing knowledge and excellent communication to ensure exceptional guest and facility operations.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hotel or commercial building maintenance experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating a team.
• Experience assigning work and managing workflow.
• CMMS experience (HotSOS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily activities of Maintenance Technicians
• Assign, monitor, and close work orders through CMMS (HotSOS preferred)
• Ensure timely response to guest and internal service requests
• Perform advanced repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC support, carpentry, and general building systems
• Support parts ordering, inventory control, and supply management
• Assist with invoice processing and budget tracking
• Maintain life safety logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency response procedures
