Job summary

Aspen Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer I to respond to and complete maintenance requests across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. You will report to the Director of Engineering and contribute to a safe, well-maintained property.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, safety knowledge, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with team members to deliver excellent guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, mechanical repairs, and carpentry.
• Knowledge of company's safety procedures and protocols.
• Basic industry terminology.
• Ability to work some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete all general maintenance requests for rooms, public areas, meeting rooms, back of house, physical plant and exterior areas.
• Tape, spackle, and paint walls.
• Promptly respond to guest room calls and inquiries.
• Track, complete and prioritize work orders.
• Help plan and coordinate projects during the off season.
• Perform safety inspections and ensure compliance standards (OSHA/GHS).
• Identify process improvements and best practices.
• Report safety hazards to management.
• Monitor and maintain fire detection systems and assist with evacuations.
