Job summary

InterContinental Miami, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive growth through direct sales for luxury hotel events, securing new accounts and managing existing relationships to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction.

You will coordinate with banquets, sales, and other departments, conduct client proposals, site inspections, and trade shows, focusing on upscale catering for groups over 500 attendees; requires 1–2 years in sales or catering and fluency in

Qualifications

Some College plus 1-2 years sales or catering related experience.
Knowledge of hotel and food & beverage operations preferred.
Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

Establish client base of individuals, organizations, associations, social, and/or corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales to secure business for the hotel.
Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines; prepare all contracts and event orders.
Monitor inquiry calls and provide client proposals per policies; coordinate with other departments to fulfill client requirements.
Attend trade shows and represent hotel at events; follow up with guests to secure future bookings.
May assist in menu planning and coordinate food, beverage, and decor with Banquet Department.
