Job summary

Starwood Hotels is seeking a Sales and Marketing Coordinator to support the sales team with general office duties and client communications.

You will assist in selling guest rooms, catering services and banquet facilities, draft proposals, load bookings into the PMS, and maintain customer profiles. A post-secondary diploma and 2+ years of experience are preferred, with strong MS Office skills and excellent communication and guest-service abilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a comparable position or equivalent education
• Strong administrative, organization, and technical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
• Must be detail oriented and accurate
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication and guest service skills

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and respond to inquiries in a pleasant manner
• Answer client/bookers questions about property facilities, hours, rates, packages and services
• Serve as the point of contact for clients via phone and email
• Generate reports, prepare proposals, and coordinate with clients and suppliers
• Assemble information packages (brochures, welcome kits, etc.)
• Manage sales managers schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements
• Support the sales team by organizing files and communicating important information
• Arrange and coordinate meetings, events, and appointments
• Record, transcribe and distribute meeting minutes as needed
• Conduct site tours with potential clients
• Monitor and respond to incoming communications
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Sales or leadership team
