Job summary

The Langham Chicago seeks a results-driven Catering/Group Sales professional to generate rooms and banquet revenue within designated markets. You will balance proactive and reactive sales activities, cover a defined territory, and develop new accounts while nurturing existing relationships to maximize event bookings.

With 2–4 years in catering or group sales in a luxury hotel, you will negotiate contracts, present proposals, and coordinate site inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum four-year college degree or commensurate management experience in a luxury hotel.
• 2–4 years catering or group sales in a luxury hotel preferred.
• Strong contract negotiation and proposal presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet group sales booking goals to achieve budget and crossover.
• Develop and execute new account solicitation plans and grow existing accounts.
• Conduct elevated site inspections to close business.
• Present proposals to achieve maximum profit while satisfying client needs.
• Follow up on leads and plan sales trips with timely execution.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services, policies, and Langham branding.
