Job summary

The Langham Chicago is seeking a results-oriented Group Sales Manager to generate catering and banquet revenue across designated markets. You will balance proactive outreach with existing account cultivation, and lead contract negotiations to maximize profitability.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in catering or group sales at a luxury hotel, a four-year college degree, and strong knowledge of Amadeus, Delphi, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or commensurate management experience in luxury hotel settings.
• 2–4 years catering or group sales experience in upscale hotel environments.
• Strong contract negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet group sales booking goals to achieve budget and crossover.
• Develop and execute new account/business solicitation plans and cultivate existing accounts.
• Conduct site inspections to close business and present proposals to maximize profit.
