Job summary

Culinaire, a Compass Group USA affiliate, seeks a Catering Sales Manager to lead the Catering Department, grow existing business, and secure new clients. You will oversee event setup, service quality, and staff performance to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

You will train associates, coordinate with the chef on menus, and manage labor and food costs for events, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• 4 years in luxury catering operations and sales.
• Experience across restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, and related food-service ops.
• Catering experience is required.
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, and food cost controls.
• Financial, budgeting, and basic accounting skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• ServSafe Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all catering events.
• Collaborate with client and manage catering coordinator.
• Oversee event logistics, sanitation, and facility activities.
• Work with the Chef on menu creation.
• Train catering staff in service, presentation, and guest service.
• Track labor and food costs per event.
• Maintain strong client relationships across levels.
• Support all foodservice-related activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
