Compass Group USA is seeking a Catering Manager to lead the Catering Department, train staff, oversee event set-ups, and coordinate temporary workers. You will ensure excellent service during events—from setup to breakdown—and work with chefs to craft menus while managing labor and food costs.

The role requires 2 years food service experience with at least 1 year in a management capacity, and catering expertise. Strong budgeting, MS Office skills, and excellent client relations are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of food service experience including 1 year at the management level.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
• Catering experience is required.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supervises all catering events.
• Oversees catering operations including logistics, sanitation, and facility activities.
• Works with the Chef to create menus.
• Trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
• Tracks and monitors labor and food cost for each event.
• Maintains strong client relationships and communicates with management, clients, and staff.
• Assists in foodservice-related activities and other duties as assigned.
