Job summary

MGM Resorts in Las Vegas is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to lead Red Plate, a Cantonese restaurant at The Cosmopolitan. You will direct the Assistant General Manager and service team, drive profitability, and ensure guest satisfaction in a high-volume luxury setting.

You will own daily operations, labor planning, scheduling, and staff development, partner with culinary and marketing teams, and elevate VIP experiences while upholding MGM service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience managing a Chinese restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Owns, leads and oversees daily restaurant operations, labor productivity, scheduling, inventory control, guest service standards, and execution and development of marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability.
• Co‑own (with Executive Chef) the restaurant's business plan and represent the restaurant in divisional, property or corporate meetings.
• Responsible for execution of policies, operating procedures, pricing initiatives, training programs, directives, menus, rules and regulations for the restaurant staff.
• Maintain health, sanitation and cleanliness standards; ensure staff complete compliance training.
• Manage human resources for the restaurant including hiring, coaching, recognition and succession planning; ensure policy and legal compliance.
• Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction; address complaints and oversee guest feedback channels; collaborate with culinary team for seamless service.
