Job summary

Nordstrom Beauty Department seeks a customer-focused beauty advisor to create personalized experiences for customers and drive sales across on-trend and luxury brands. You will perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and build loyalty through Nordstrom Rewards while staying current on beauty trends.

Ideal candidates are passionate about makeup and skincare, can connect with diverse customers, and are able to work flexible evenings/weekends in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare.
• Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle concerns and contribute to a positive team.
• Empathy and respect for all customers during makeup and skincare applications.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer's goals.
• Collaborate with team to create a welcoming environment.
• Set and achieve sales goals, including in-store and digital selling.
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store events and services.
• Keep the department ready and organized, maintain cleanliness.
• Stay updated on beauty trends and knowledge through trainings.
• Manage sales, refunds, exchanges and build customer loyalty by Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
