Job summary

Nobu Hotel Palo Alto is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to assist with event setup, service, and breakdown in accordance with BEO specifications. Responsibilities include room preparation, furniture placement, and ensuring IT items work as required.

The role requires strong organizational skills, clear English communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Prior hospitality experience is preferred and a California Food Handler Card is recommended.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; hospitality experience is a plus.
• Must communicate clearly in English and be able to follow BEO specifications.
• Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced event environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms prior to events including cleaning and setup as per BEO.
• Assist with event setup, seating plans, and IT equipment if requested.
• Break down rooms after events, return items and stock supplies.
• Transport food and beverages from kitchen to event space; serve guests as needed.
• Maintain inventory of event items and ensure beverage stock is adequate.
