Job summary

O’GARA Westlake Village is seeking a Luxury Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced team. You will greet clients, diagnose vehicle issues, coordinate repairs, and manage Repair Orders with a focus on exceptional customer service.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and a neat professional appearance. Experience with luxury vehicles is preferred and the position offers growth within a prestige dealership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Maintain a valid California Driver’s license and must be insurable.
• Minimum of three years of experience in automotive repair industry.
• Preferred Tekion experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety precautions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with several customers at a time.
• Team player with professional appearance and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers courteously and keep them informed about vehicle services.
• Determine nature of the mechanical problem by listening to customers and interpreting statements.
• Secure repair approvals, schedule appointments, and estimate completion times.
• Collect customer and vehicle data in the CRM and Repair Order, and secure payment details.
• Test-drive the vehicle with the customer when needed to verify issues.
• Inspect vehicles for bodywork, notify customers, and provide body shop estimates.
• Advise on maintenance per manufacturer specs and potential service needs.
• Promote service sales and identify additional needed work.
• Follow safety, regulatory and policy requirements for repairs.
• Ensure accurate Repair Orders and timely closure of orders.
• Obtain customer contact information and signatures on Repair Orders.
• Provide progress updates and adjust estimates as required.
