Job summary

Stanford Cancer Institute in Palo Alto is seeking an experienced Program Administrator to support a new Lung Research Center funded by philanthropy. This role will coordinate administrative operations, reporting, budgeting, and events to foster collaboration among scientists and clinicians.

The position offers a hybrid schedule, exposure to a dynamic cancer research environment, and opportunities to engage with donors and senior leadership while advancing translational science.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (master's or doctoral) in biomedical sciences, public health, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in academic or biomedical research administration, including progress reporting and compliance with institutional or funding requirements.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring budgets and preparing financial reports for research projects or grants.
• Demonstrated experience planning and organizing meetings, workshops, or multi-institutional symposia.
• Demonstrated experience developing content for websites, newsletters, or other program communications.
• Familiarity with institutional administrative and financial systems, or comparable experience in a large academic or medical research institution.
• Demonstrated experience working with philanthropic donors, private foundations, and fundraising teams
• Demonstrated experience working with top-tier executives and/or high-net-worth individuals
