Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Operations team in Seattle, WA. This role leads designing and implementing efficient manufacturing systems, ensuring rigorous quality control, and optimizing supply chain logistics for Production/Operations.

Cross-functional collaboration will streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve production timelines using advanced manufacturing methods. The candidate will work with pumps, motors, controllers, and related gear, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university
• 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering
• 1+ years creating English work instructions
• U.S. citizenship or eligible status per government requirements
• Ability to work second shift and flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new products (pumps, motors, controllers)
• Contribute to design for manufacturability/assembly/test
• Translate engineering requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain and production teams
• Develop and maintain manufacturing docs (work instructions, flow diagrams)
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards
• Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new lines

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
