Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems for production and operations in Seattle, WA. You will drive quality control and optimize supply chain logistics to support space vehicle development.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and accelerate production timelines, with relocation available and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing/industrial/process engineering role.
• 1+ years creating English work instructions.
• U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident or approved refugee/asylum status.
• Willingness to work second shift and extend hours if required.

Responsibilities

• Industrialize new products in solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures.
• Translate requirements into robust manufacturing processes to support mission.
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain and production teams to accelerate space vehicle production.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, flow diagrams, tool designs, inspection plans).
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
• Perform root cause analysis of non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
