Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to apply broad multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge for safe human spaceflight. You will plan and execute mechanical/electromechanical tests, develop test plans, and coordinate crews and equipment.

Responsibilities include test planning, instrumentation, and data analysis, with travel up to 25% and relocation support. A hands-on role requiring independent problem solving and mentoring of others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering
• 2+ years hands-on hardware testing experience
• Experience developing test stands and fixtures
• CAD-based mechanical design experience
• Experience with data acquisition systems and sensors

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute mechanical and electromechanical test campaigns.
• Identify test needs, events, and required equipment.
• Develop and review Test Plans, Procedures, and safety assessments.
• Design, procure, and install test support equipment; manage vendors.
• Coordinate test teams and ensure safety during testing.
• Reduce, analyze, and archive test data.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a closely related technical discipline
