Blue Origin is seeking a Vehicle Requirements and Design Parameters Lead for the MK1 Lunar Lander Vehicle Engineering team in the United States. You will define and develop the system requirements, design parameters, interfaces, and performance measures for the lunar vehicle, coordinating across engineering teams to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in requirements definition, design criteria, traceability, interface definition, design documentation, integration, verification, and validation.
• Detailed knowledge of space systems design and requirements.
• Ability to lead and coordinate across stakeholders and engineering fields.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; ability to convey technical information clearly.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Diversity of experience and collaboration in a safety-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and design processes and strategies, including tools and infrastructure to execute vision.
• Own vehicle requirements specification, design parameters, and technical performance measures.
• Own vehicle product and specification tree and design standards requirements.
• Assess design trades against requirements, parameters, and budgets.
• Review and approve vehicle design and requirement changes.
• Define configuration and change control for design parameters, interfaces, budgets, and requirements.
• Define interface requirements and their verification (ICDs).
• Map relationships between requirements, design parameters, budgets, ICDs, plans, and measures.
• Develop and execute plans for completing requirements and design products across IPTs.
• Perform compliance and traceability assessments and report metrics to leadership.
