Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island is seeking a Vehicle Requirements and Design Parameters Lead for the MK1 Lunar Lander. You will define and own the vehicle requirements, design parameters, interfaces, and verification plans to guide system-level development and integration.

You will coordinate across IPTs, lead technical reviews, and ensure compliance with budgets and schedules while fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, and collaboration among engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in requirements, design, verification and validation.
• Detailed knowledge of space systems design and requirements.
• Ability to lead and coordinate across stakeholders and engineering fields.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and design processes and strategies, including tools and infrastructure.
• Own vehicle requirements specification, design parameters and performance measures.
• Own the vehicle product and specification tree.
• Own vehicle design and construction standards requirements.
• Assess design trades against requirements, parameters and budgets.
• Review and approve vehicle design and requirement changes.
• Define configuration and change control processes for parameters, interfaces, budgets and requirements.
• Manage interface requirements, ICDs and their verification.
• Define traceability between requirements, design parameters, budgets, ICDs and program plans.
• Develop and execute plans to complete requirements and design across IPTs.
• Perform compliance and traceability assessments and report metrics to leadership.
