Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL seeks an analyst to perform thermal and fluids analysis for the MK1 Fluids subsystem, supporting design through build, test, and integration. You will capture system inputs, validate models with test data, run trade studies, and present results to stakeholders. Qualifications include a B.S.

in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 3+ years of thermal/fluids analysis, experience with Thermal Desktop Sinda/Fluint, and proficiency with Excel. U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant thermal/fluids analysis experience.
• Experience with thermo-fluids 0D-1D modeling using Thermal Desktop Sinda/Fluint.
• Understanding of Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics.
• Hands-on experience with first-order and Excel-level fluids calculations.
• Proven track record generating analysis results to support technical trades.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Generate and present design review and trade study content for future SNs to subsystem and vehicle partners
• Support development of new or modifying existing thermo-fluid analysis models to represent vehicle configuration, latest interface conditions, and behaviors
• Post process analysis results to draw engineering conclusions from output data
• Author and publish analysis reports in Windchill to support engineering decision making
