Job summary

Austin Builders Supply in Austin, MN is looking for a full-time team member to work in the lumberyard. Responsibilities include loading and unloading building materials, pulling orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Candidates must be able to lift heavy loads, have a valid driver's license, and ideally have experience operating a forklift. This is a physically demanding role with daytime hours from Monday to Saturday. Perks include a retirement savings plan and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to obtain a DOT health card.
• Experience operating a forklift and backing a trailer is preferred; willing to train if needed.
• Must be willing to work outside in varying temperatures and be able to stand/move for long periods.

Austin Builders Supply is a family‑owned and operated lumberyard and hardware store located in Austin, MN. We have an opening for a full‑time candidate to join our team working in the lumberyard.

The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with a strong work ethic and positive personality.

Duties

• Loading/unloading lumber and other building materials
• Pulling orders and loading customer material
• Stocking lumber bins
• Strapping loads
• Pulling/backing trailers and operating a forklift
• Delivery of materials to job site
• Operating saws to cut material
• Cleaning and organizing the yard and performing other general warehouse duties
• Maintaining a safe environment at all times

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to obtain a DOT health card
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Experience operating a forklift and backing a trailer is preferred, willing to train if needed
• Knowledge of construction materials is preferred
• Must be willing to work outside in varying temperatures and be able to stand/move for long periods of time
• Problem‑solving skills and ability to follow a work schedule and arrive on time
• Age 18 or older

Schedule: Daytime hours Monday–Saturday.
