Marshall Home Store is seeking a reliable Assistant Manager to support daily operations at our busy lumber yard. The role calls for strong leadership, a solid work ethic, and experience in retail or yard operations to ensure efficient processes and excellent service.

You will help oversee inventory, supervise staff, and maintain safety standards, while assisting customers, coordinating stock, and training new team members.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience in retail, construction materials, or yard operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a solid work ethic, and experience in retail, construction materials, or yard operations. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Manager to ensure efficient operations, excellent customer service, and a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing daily operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment
• Supervise and support staff, ensuring productivity and safety standards are met
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and loading
• Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate stock replenishment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in lumber, building materials, or a related industry preferred

• Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Basic computer skills for inventory and sales systems
