Job summary

Austin Builders Supply in Austin, MN is seeking a seasonal candidate to join our lumberyard team. You will perform warehouse duties including loading/unloading, pulling orders, stocking bins, delivering materials to job sites, and operating saws.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, capable of working outdoors in varying temperatures and able to lift up to 100 pounds. Daytime hours Monday–Saturday apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to obtain a DOT health card.
• Ability to lift 100lbs.
• Forklift operation and trailer backing preferred, but training is available.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload lumber and building materials.
• Pull orders and load customer material.
• Stock lumber bins and strap loads.
• Pull/back trailers and operate a forklift.
• Deliver materials to job sites.
• Operate saws to cut material.
• Clean and organize yard; maintain a safe environment.

Austin Builders Supply a family-owned and operated lumberyard and hardware store located in Austin, MN has an opening for a seasonal candidate to join their team working in the lumberyard.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic and positive personality.

Duties

• Loading/unloading lumber and other building materials
• Pulling orders and loading customer material
• Stocking lumber bins
• Strapping loads
• Pulling/backing trailers and operating a forklift
• Delivery of materials to job site
• Ability to operate saws to cut material
• Cleaning and organizing the yard as well as other general warehouse duties.
• Candidate is also responsible for maintaining a safe environment at all times.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to obtain a DOT health card.
• Ability to lift 100lbs.
• Ability to operate a forklift and back a trailer is preferred, but willing to train. Knowledge of construction materials preferred.
• Must be willing to work outside in varying temperatures and be able to stand/move for long periods of time.
• Must be able to problem solve, be able to follow a work schedule and arrive on time.
• This position is more than just delivery and does require manual labor.
• Schedule consists of daytime hours Monday-Saturday.
• Must be 18 years of age to be eligible.
