Job summary

Southeast LBM Holdco LLC is seeking a counter sales associate to assist customers in the showroom, sell lumber and related materials, and help maintain an orderly, safe retail environment. You will also handle inquiries, coordinate deliveries, and process sales using the computer system.

The role requires at least 3 years of sales experience, knowledge of lumber and building materials, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years work experience; some sales experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of lumber and building materials.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sells lumber and related materials to customers on the store floor.
• Provides support to DIY customers.
• Handles telephone and email inquiries.
• Coordinates customer deliveries as appropriate.
• Creates accurate sales tickets and enters data into the computer system.
• Operates cash register and balances drawer daily.
• Maintains shelf and floor stock and coordinates with purchasing.
• Keeps the sales floor attractive, orderly, clean, and safe.
• Takes initiative to complete tasks without being asked.
