Job summary

US LBM is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to assist customers and contractors in a retail environment. You will take orders over the counter, answer questions, process payments, and help with quotes and deliveries.

You will maintain showroom presentation, help select products, and ensure accurate records. The role may involve forklift operation and location-specific services as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, answer questions, and handle deliveries or installations scheduling.
• Assist showroom customers with product selection and record selections accurately.
• Process sales at the cash register and handle various payment methods.
• Create invoices and sales tickets, enter orders and pricing into the system.
• Purchase special-order products and gather pricing/specs.
• Maintain showroom appearance and stock levels; assist with inventory.
• Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment after training where required.
• Attend training and meetings; perform location-specific services as needed (keys, paint, glass).
