Job summary

IB Abel, Inc. is seeking Lube Technicians to support our Fleet Department. You will perform preventive maintenance on light, medium, and heavy trucks and trailers, conduct inspections, and document findings to keep the fleet safe and reliable.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent and about 2 years of experience with heavy equipment. Strong attention to detail and basic data entry are required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of experience with heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks (Bucket Trucks, Digger Trucks, Dump Trucks, and Trailers).
• Ability to type; complete some basic data entry.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
• Change engine oil, hydraulic oil, transmission fluid, gear oil, coolant, and filters; lubricate grease points.
• Replace air, fuel, oil, and cabin filters; inspect belts, hoses, tires, brakes, batteries, lights, steering, suspension, and fluid levels.
• Perform multi-point inspections and document any deficiencies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the fleet management system (Tenna).
• Notify supervisor of any safety concerns or repair recommendations.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, EPA, and company safety procedures.
• Assist mechanics with repairs as workload requires.
• Operate shop equipment safely, including lifts, jacks, and fluid dispensing systems.

The Opportunity

Join a leading electrical contractor with over 110 years of success! Lube Technicians for our Fleet Department support all of our lines of business-and keep them running - by performing preventative maintenance service on company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure the fleet remains safe, reliable, and compliant. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime by completing scheduled maintenance, conducting inspections, identifying repair needs, and communicating findings to the service team.

Key

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
• Change engine oil, hydraulic oil, transmission fluid, gear oil, coolant, and filters lubricate all grease points according to manufacturer specifications including booms, Inspect belts, hoses, tires, brakes, batteries, lights, steering, suspension, and fluid levels.

• Perform multi-point inspections and document any deficiencies.
