Job summary

Clifford Power Systems, Inc. in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Generator Field Service Satellite Technician. You will travel in a company truck to customer sites to perform maintenance, inspections, and service on diesel, natural gas, or propane powered generators.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to read wiring diagrams, and strong customer service. This full-time, day-shift position includes paperwork, scheduling updates, and occasional shop work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 5+ years experience with diesel and/or natural gas engines, generators, and automatic transfer switches.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge with tools and electrical meter for troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service above and beyond the customer’s expectations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose engine and electrical repairs on power generation equipment (engine-driven generators and automatic transfer switches).
• Perform work on power generation equipment located at customer sites, or occasional work at our local shop.
• Use safe practices with operation of service truck.
• Perform preventive maintenance on power generation equipment.
• Perform start-ups on new power generation equipment.
• Perform warranty work on power generation equipment.
• Process required paperwork and electronic submissions within deadlines.
• Maintain parts inventory of service truck.
• 24/7 on-call technician.
