Clifford Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to support the Austin area. The role requires hands-on work with combustion engines and power generation equipment powered by Diesel, Natural Gas, or Propane, plus electrical knowledge.

You will interface with controls software via a laptop as part of daily field service tasks. The position entails traveling from home in a company truck to customer sites, performing maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, start-ups,

Qualifications

• Must understand combustion engines and power generation equipment.
• Experience with diesel, natural gas or propane engines.
• Ability to operate a laptop and interface with controls software.
• Able to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service above and beyond the customer’s expectations
• Troubleshoot and diagnose engine and electrical repairs on power generation equipment (engine-driven generators and automatic transfer switches)
• Perform work on power generation equipment located at customer sites, or occasional work at our local shop
• Use safe practices with operation of service truck
• Perform preventive maintenance on power generation equipment
• Perform start-ups on new power generation equipment
• Perform warranty work on power generation equipment
• Process required paperwork and electronic submissions within deadlines
• Maintain parts inventory of service truck
• 24/7 on-call technician
