Job summary

Clifford Power Systems, Inc. seeks a Generator Field Service Satellite Technician to service and troubleshoot diesel, natural gas, and propane generators in the Odessa area.

You’ll travel in a company truck, perform maintenance, start-ups, and emergency repairs at customer sites, and complete electronic paperwork from the field. The role requires understanding of combustion engines, electrical systems, and power distribution, with on-call rotation and safety-first practices.

Qualifications

• Understanding of combustion engines and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot engine and electrical repairs on power generation equipment.
• Self-motivated with strong communication and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service above and beyond the customer’s expectations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose engine and electrical repairs on power generation equipment (engine-driven generators and automatic transfer switches).
• Perform work on power generation equipment located at customer sites, or occasional work at our local shop.
• Use safe practices with operation of service truck.
• Perform preventive maintenance on power generation equipment.
• Perform start-ups on new power generation equipment.
• Perform warranty work on power generation equipment.
• Process required paperwork and electronic submissions within deadlines.
• Maintain parts inventory of service truck.
• 24/7 on-call technician.
