Job summary

Clifford Power Systems, Inc. in Houston area seeks a Generator Field Service Technician. You will travel in a company truck to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel and natural gas generators, and interface with controls software.

We provide training and expect motivation to learn generator systems. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required; safety and documentation are essential in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with diesel and/or natural gas engines, generators, and automatic transfer switches.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge required.
• Motivated to participate in training to increase generator knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service beyond expectations.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose engine and electrical repairs on power generation equipment.
• Perform work on equipment at customer sites or in the local shop.
• Use safe practices with operation of service truck.
• Perform preventive maintenance on power generation equipment.
• Perform start-ups on new power generation equipment.
• Process paperwork and electronic submissions within deadlines.
• Maintain parts inventory of service truck.
• Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call technician rotation.
