Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Indianapolis seeks a Service Center Manager to oversee a large LTL operation with 120+ employees. You will direct multiple shifts, ensure safety and service quality, and maintain strong customer relationships to keep freight moving under company guidelines.

You will lead hiring, training and coaching, manage budgets and P&L considerations, and coordinate with safety, sales, claims and fleet services to meet KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory capabilities in a fast-paced LTL environment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to hire, train, coach, mentor and terminate staff as needed.
• Proven planning, organization, and execution skills.
• Willingness to work 50 hours per week and across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct Service Center employees; set goals, monitor performance, provide coaching and development.
• Oversee hiring, training and terminations with proper documentation and follow-up.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules and regulations.
• Develop and deliver strategies to achieve revenue, service goals, budgets and KPI targets.
• Manage dock, city operations and scheduling for timely freight deliveries.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
